Promises

Promises are a big deal with me, and yes I realize I've not been around much, but you all know or I hope you know... if I make them I keep them, and in turn if someone makes them to me then I expect them to keep them also... *sad smiles* I realize there are a lot of times when promises get broken... and some people offer promises, those they make when they think its what someone wants to hear, *sigh* then they just seem to forget they've made them. Those would be "empty promises", and in all honesty those are the ones we can all do without, and would just as soon the person/people not bother... IF I make a promise to someone I will do everything in my power to always keep it. If I tell someone I will be there for them, then count on it, if I promise to always be your friend, then it will always be that way (unless that friend does something so horrible to me that I can't forgive it). If I promise to always love you, then count on it, I will always love you. And NOT IF I promise not to ever lie to you but when I DO promise it.. then count on that also, I will never lie to you. I honestly don't make promises I can't keep. There are of course circumstances that come that are beyond our control, which cause people to not keep their promises. BUT I can tell you right now, that come hell or high water (barring health or stronger issues keeping me from keeping them), nothing will keep me from keeping my promises to people.. especially those special people I care about and consider part of my world and and let into my heart, which is not something I take lightly. In doing this *sad smile* I end up sometimes being the one that keeps my promises no matter what, even when the other person/people don't.. but ya know that's on them... I've kept my word and to me that's a very important thing. I've been the best person, friend, lover, pain in the ass lol or whatever I can be for whatever reason I'm in their lives. I've been going through some of the posts on here and have found quite a few to make me smile, some to make me sad... and some that just break my heart... and found a song that someone wanted to post and either didn't or has been a while... but anyways its about promises made and broken.. Do me a favor my friends, and remember to try to keep your promises, and remember that putting off things you want to do or say is so not a good way to go... those friends, lovers and peole who are just way too important to you, may not always be there for one reason or another.. and then you turn around and realize its just too damn late.

time stood still for 45 minutes

For the first time today ... I had that erie feeling that a parent gets sometimes.


This AM Kalli has her tonsils and adnoids removed.  This is a very minor procedure and she done great.  She is resting comfortably.  Communicating quietly with laptop.


After they gently put her to sleep ... I had 45 minutes of realizing for the first time in her life ... I was helpless to her if she needed me.  Not a very good feeling and went againist all my promises of keeping her safe.


When the doctor came out and told us she was in recovery ...  I made the walk down those halls that seem to go on for miles and I found her.


Just wanted to let her know I was back on my watch ...   <):{

Somethin different

Seems I'm on a role.. probably won't be bloggin much ... but found something different... I've been reading a lot *smiles* and found some very interesting books I've gotten rather addicted to .... *smile softly* and the series I'm reading now... has some interesting songs through them.. most of them I've heard of... a few not so much.. saw this one mentioned and a few of the words... and well I just liked it... its VERY country :) but lol then so am I... hope you all are doing well... a lot of the reasons I don't go to lit anymore is the fun just seems to not be there anymore... *smiles* seems to have faded in alot of areas lately.. well like I said enjoy:
