Hello again everyone.  I'm sorry to have been such a missing quantity. I can't say I've been doing a whole lot. I still don't have a job, but I *have* almost completed two semesters of my Master's,  and that's been a lot of fun. American college campuses in the summer time are such wonderful places to be. :)

In the last few months I've met, chatted with, and in some cases lost track of several people, and the last thing is something I hate doing. I've been writing a heck of a lot, mostly schoolwork but occasionally something creative. I've finished one short story and I will finish the one I started nearly two years ago that some of you have seen already. And then we have the odd poem. This is one I pasted in my space in FetLife * (oh yeah, I meant to tell you about that, LOL) the other week, in relation to why and how we manage to fall for some people.

What's the right style for a proper Easter basket?

Should it be round or oval or square?
Should it be homemade or purchased somewhere?

Would an old milk carton, cut in half
Be OK, or just cause people to laugh?

Should the artificial grass be green, pink or blue?
How do I know what's the right thing to do?

But whether the basket is brand new or old
The key question is, how much candy will it hold?

Some of you may remember the tragedy that a family and the Rangers ball club bore last season.

A Dad took his son to watch a game at Arlington. As the Dad, with his son by his side, stretched to catch a ball hit by Ranger Josh Hamilton ... the Dad fell over the railing. The Dad did not make it due to his injuries.

Tonight, a bronze statue was placed at the home plate entrance ...

The sculptor that was called on by Nolan Ryan to create such a tribute to this family just happens to a member of my family.

Thank you Bruce Greene. Not only did you honor this family and team ... but your family as well.
