Okay, the baseball season is over.  My Tigers made it to the World Series.  They lost big time.  So yes I'm very disappointed.  According to Vegas, they are picked to win it all next year.  Whoooooot!!!!

That picture is taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway.. which is not that far from the County where I work.. Its very beautiful in Virginia right now... so thought I'd share a little of the color with you guys... just hope this works lol
Also wanted to let you know that I'm still around.. smiles ... been busy with family stuff.. Cooper seems to be into everything.. Tyler and Emily (the future daughter in law.. who is more like a daughter) have been visiting mom alot more.. (really really think the scare i had in february scared that kid)... course we have satelite t.v., wi-fi, lol washer and dryer... and of course food.. lol...
Been spending a lot of time with my mom lately too, taking her to lunch, shopping or whatever.. helps her get out of the house.. My father is still drinking.. and the dementia is worse.. and Now the Veterans Doctors tell us they think his liver is bad.. well we're just kinda like hell we coulda told you that... but he's not going to quit drinking so what do you do *shrugs* .. He can still stay by himself for short periods of time.. so gettin her out helps lol to keep her from killin him.. smiles as for me well I'm the same ole me :) ... healthy loving the fact that "mother nature" no longer hits every two weeks *wicked ass grin at susie* or any... (susie put your tongue back in your mouth LOL)... so over all life doesnt suck :) ... I try to remember to show online on yahoo... but lol unlike life NOT suckin my memory does... so its not intentional or personal *grinz* its brain damage lol ... *winks* ... Hit me up with off-lines I'll get back to you I promise.. smiles.. hugsss and hope everyone's lives are going well.. talk soon ~tray~

October....

I know I posted this same picture last year, but it is again October, breast cancer awareness month. It is something that is always on my mind. My aunt is a survivor and my mother died of liver cancer. Cancer is such a dreaded thing no matter what part of the body it may strike whether it be a man or a woman. Just before my mom was diagnosed, Jim Valvano spoke these words:

"Cancer can take away all my physical abilities. It cannot touch my mind, it cannot touch my heart and it cannot touch my soul. And those three things are going to carry on forever."

I wish I could hug each survivor. I wish I had the strength and courage they have to face each day. I wish each of them many more happy birthdays.
