I consider myself very fortunate in calling you 'friend' ...

Most of us have had the pain of a loss in our hearts. I understand that yours, by losing a spouse, is only shadowed by losing a child.

Physically, I can't take away the sadness ... I believe it is a normal and necessary process we are entitled to.

But ... on the inside ... where you hold me as a friend ... in that huge mending TEXAS heart ... you let me help you smile. We are not an instant fix ... wish we were ... but we're here ...

I might wear the flapper costume again to take Coop trick or treating, lol and then again I have several glow in the dark t-shirts that say HAPPY HALLOWEEN on them... so will see... lol huggsss and look forward to seein what you guys will be or would be.. :)

This team of woman is the best in pro football...the originals Their uniforms are so cute, they do wonderful things for charity and they are beautiful. I considered trying out for the squad once, but....well being quiet and shy and all



The Viking girls on the other hand..well, I'm not a big fan of those gold pom poms really. I find them a little tacky.


Oh, and as far as the guys on the field, toss a coin. Who do you pick..a team that is 1 and 3 or one who has a 40 year old QB and who after the news that broke last week, is probably better known to us as "Star Quarterback" on Lit! (thank God he's not a center..can you imagine the rumors then!!!)

Thursday Thoughts

All is good.....

Things went well with chemo today. Only lasted a little under 4 hours. Physically I was fine... mentally I wanted to sit there and cry the whole time. I managed to hold it together. Looking around the room I could see I wasn't the worst off... but still sucks like hell. My hubby and oldest daughter took turns keeping me occupied. A lot of the nurses stopped over for hugs and well wishes. They remembered me from before. Not sure that's a good thing...LOL.

I don't feel too bad tonight. Just a tad queasy and a slight headache. I had a 2 hour nap after my treatment. They say it might hit me harder in the 2nd and 3rd day. Time will tell.

I am headed off to school tomorrow to help carve pumpkins for the Fall festival. I figure I can stay as long as I feel good. Melissa is going with me to be my driver. It's always a lot of fun.

So...I found the absolute down side to this weekly chemo. I am "toxic" for about 5 days after my treatment. No sharing of bodily fluids... NO SEX. There are a few ways to work around it, but not exactly what I would prefer. That leaves me less than 2 days to find the time and the mood and the alone time. I wonder how that will work? Maybe I just need to wait for my week off! Bummer. Hubby isn't too fond of this either.

Getting company for the weekend. Niece and her hubby coming in. Plan on going to the Fall Festival and a then a hockey game on Saturday. Trying to live every day.........

Ok....maybe time for bed. Early morning.

Heading out Wednesday around noon for my first round of chemo to fight this new battle.
I will get it on Wednesdays.... three weeks on and a week off for.......well...for a very long time I hope. Wish me luck and keep those prayers coming. I have no idea how this chemo will affect me, but I think I can manage to handle almost anything by now.
Sorry I haven't been around much. I try to check in every few days. I just don't have a lot to say right now. Hope you all understand. You're in my thoughts. Take care and I will touch base soon.
