What Christmas Means (smiles, through the eyes of a child)

Not sure if you guys remember or not, but every year I get to type the "Santa Letters" from the local elementary schools and its a lot of fun :o) ..... I sit here and giggle and sometimes just bust out laughin at some of the things these kids write... some are so cute, some are down right hilarious... but everyone once in a while a child will write something that will just stop and make me think and go "wow"... This is one of those.. it rambles a little, but the point comes across pretty clear... guess when they say out of the mouths of babes, its true.. anyways here it is... and NO those are not my typos.. lol I type them the way the kids write them :)

Christmas to me means friends, family, cousins, brothers and sisters. It means spending time with your family and celebrating Jesus’s birthday. It’s not just presents it’s family, friends, daughters, mothers, fathers and sons. My family tradition is to go to Chicago, Illinois every year for Christmas. We also go up there to see my moms parents because they live up there. The only other time we get to see them is during summer. This summer we went to Ohio. We have a nice little cabin. What we did mostly all the time was spend time with them because they’re not around forever. If you’re reading this over Christmas I want you (and you should also) to not worry about presents. Go help wrap presents with your family instead of sitting around all day waiting for Christmas to come to you, help and spend time with your family. Another one of my traditions is at another family home. The other kids and I get to pass out presents before we get to open ours. I always love to see the exxpressions on everyones faces. So this Christmas don’t forget about family and worry about presents. Use you’re time wisely. You may never see them again. Don’t just spend time with them because I said to. Do it because you want to. Merry Christmas.
