For some strange reason I'm having a rough time right now, made it through dad's birthday okay (Nov. 2). But Veterans day hit me really hard, found myself crying at the weirdest times, my daddy was a Viet Nam vet, was over there when I was born, but saw me for the first time when I was 6 months old and he was on leave. I know with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming its going to get even harder. Cause even though he didn't spend the last few with us, smiles I knew he was at home, sitting in the kitchen, t.v. on blasting cause that's the only way he could hear it, and drinking a beer, so this song is for my dad and those we have lost.
